If you ask a young boy, what does he want to be when he grows up, he could say, a doctor to help heal whoever is sick, a teacher to be able to help kids learn, a police officer to help catch bad guys. But as the boy grows older, just like any other children, they learn what life is like and that a lot of things in this world revolves around money. The boy’s reason for wanting to be a doctor when he was a child will now only be a secondary reason, the first one is to be able to earn a lot of money.

IMG_5425You would be a hypocrite if you would say that you only have your job because you like it and don't want money from it. There are a lot of people in this world have hated their job, but they don't have a choice because that is their source of income. Only a few people would say they actually love their job. Because nowadays, people want to work for money so the first thing that matters when looking for a job is to know how much will they earn. According to an Economist, Dr. Andrew Chamberlain of Glassdoor.com

“This report reinforces that high pay continues to be tied to in-demand skills, higher education and working in jobs that are protected from competition or automation. This is why we see several jobs within the technology and healthcare industries. There's no doubt that pay is among the leading factors most job seekers weigh when determining where to work.”

So in this article, we will list down the top highest paying job today. Any guesses?

Pharmacy Manager (Median Base Salary: $130,000)

On the 3rd spot, is the pharmacy manager. Basically, pharmacy managers are pharmacists who need to oversee and supervise the day to day operations of the pharmacy they are working at. If you are a pharmacist, you can be promoted to be a pharmacy manager if you have enough experience. Dispensing medication is also part of their job, but if you are didn't graduate as a pharmacist, you obviously cannot be a pharmacy manager because they are the ones that maintains and manages every record and it is such a huge responsibility. They must have the knowledge which medication is for and they have to keep track of all the dates the medicines will expire. It is such a complicated job so they deserve to have such a high salary.

Lawyer (Median Base Salary: $144,500)

IMG_5426This is the second highest paying job in the world and we all know why. They didn't spend hundreds of sleepless nights studying just to get such a low salary. They work in a variety of fields. There are criminal law, divorce law and many others. If you want to have such a high paying job, then you can study as a lawyer, of course formal education is required because for you to have the ability to handle a case, your mind must be prepared. Lawyers are considered to be an advisor, advocate and a counselor to their clients, especially when it comes to legal option and to represent them in a civil court or criminal proceedings. If you have a degree in law and have enough experience as a lawyer then you can be a prosecutor or a judge which obviously pays more.

Physicians (Media Base Salary: $180,000)

And still, the highest paying job in any part of the world is being a doctor. Although, there are many types of doctors in a lot of fields, but the highest paid medical practitioner is an Orthopedist, or a doctor who treats bones and manages all The musculoskeletal system of the body. Including all the joints, tendons, ligaments and etc. An orthopedist’s average salary is about $421,000. But being that kind of doctor is not easy since you need a lot of years of experience and training because treating bones of the body is considered to be one of the most difficult part to treat. The orthopedic surgeon basically treats bone abnormalities and puts them into braces and casts. A Cardiologist is considered to be the second highest paying medical practitioner with an average of $376,000, and these types of doctors are the ones who treat anything that has to do with the heart.
